Assignment on environment and environmental engineering

Environmental engineering as two main part environment with indicate or surroundings and engineering means the technological application based on the engineering knowledge.

Our environment contains lots of things.

Geophysics is a geoscience describing the earth and its surroundings by physical methods.

There are many applications in geophysics. Among them Environmental engineering is my
most interesting topic.

Environmental engineering is the application of science and engineering principles to improve the natural environment (air, water, and/or land resources), to provide healthy water, air, and land for human habitation (house or home) and for other organisms, and to remediate polluted sites. It involves wastewater treatment and air pollution control, recycling, waste disposal, radiation protection, industrial hygiene, environmental sustainability, and public health issues as well as a knowledge of environmental engineering law.

Why I chose environmental engineering?

Environmental engineers have great responsibilities all want to find is and develop careers which are meaningful, rewarding, and fulfilling.

It’s not always easy to find such a job, but environmental engineering seems to fit the description very well. Humans have a deep desire to feel useful, to cooperate and help others.

Environmental engineers have great responsibilities, but they can also sleep better at night, knowing that what they do has a major impact on our society and nature.

Here are some of the main responsibilities for future environmental engineers:

➢ Research and develop alternative renewable energy resources

➢ Improve recycling and waste disposal
Improve water and air pollution control
Develop methods of cleaning up existing hazards
Design and build sustainable ecosystems; for example, systems that help combat global
warming Evaluate, report and develop solutions for environmental problems Environmental Engineering can also tell us if we eat healthy food. It may sound odd, but an environmental engineer can also examine soil quality and determine the effect of pesticides
and soil nutrients that ultimately affect the quality of the food we eat.

Environmental Engineering degrees are versatile:
Although Environmental Engineering is a broad field, you can specialise in various sub disciplines, like: Solid waste management
Environmental impact assessment and mitigation
Water supply and treatment
Wastewater treatment
Air pollution management
This also means that you’ll have different career options to choose from. Here are several
examples of popular Environmental Engineering jobs:
Environmental consultant
Water project manager
Air quality inspector
Green building engineer
Wastewater engineer

Environmental engineers discover new ways to save human lives.
Environmental engineers already play an important role in improving and saving human
lives. For example, they design the water management and water waste systems that clean our water and eliminate dangerous bacteria and viruses.

But work doesn’t stop here. New research helps environmental engineers develop new ways
to improve our life. For instance, researchers at Stanford University discovered that offshore
wind turbines could be used to disrupt a hurricane, reduce peak wind speeds and decrease storm surge, taming their overall force before reaching the land.

This kind of development is the perfect example of how environmental engineers can both
improve and save lives.
This is why environmental engineering is my most interesting topic.
